Stormy Horizon Practice the Warriors
I woke up this morning and it seemed that winter arrived in one day rather than over four months. Now I am used to snow and having a few feet of the white fluffy stuff arrive on my door step. It’s the shoveling that I procrastinate on especially as I am not using some fancy swipe it all in on one scope shovel,on no I use a back breaking avalanche shovel. Then it got me thinking okay I make this more difficult on myself than it needs to be I mean I really have three choices I can go and buy the fancy shovel, wait until the snow melts or three continue to complain.
So this is where the Warrior poses come into my article. The warrior better known as Virabhadra that is named after a fierce demon that was created by Shiva the Hindu God. The Warriors poses are about stamina, looking within and staying calm in a reactive world and some, they are so much more. The Warriors allow us to find who we truly are, to find our north-point in an ever changing world.
When I come into the Warrior one pose it just feels good to notice my foundation it some how calms me and allows me to expand my arms upwards and feel my truth and celebrate my life with gratitude. The Warrior two pose brings me truly to myself that feels discomfort with myself or something in my life I need to change. The Warrior Two is about not reacting to the discomfort and simply observe it so that you can make better choices for yourself in life without being in reaction to emotions.
So the next time I start complaining I know I have a choice but first can I simply take a breath and allow the emotion to pass before making a decision in my life.
